Biker Killed In Big Rig Crash, Jamming Up 5 Freeway Traffic

EAST LOS ANGELES, CA — A motorcyclist was killed Monday in a crash involving a big rig on the northbound Santa Ana (5) Freeway in the East Los Angeles area.

The crash occurred about 9:45 a.m. near Indiana Street, and the motorcycle became wedged beneath the truck, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Information was not immediately available on the gender or identity of the motorcyclist, who died at the scene.

Three northbound lanes were blocked while an investigation was conducted.
