Cedillo and Gardea Discuss Election Issues in Spanish (Part I)

The two CD 1 candidates offer their positions on a range of local and regional issues.

During a candidates’ forum and discussion held at the Highland Park Recreation Center Saturday, former Assemblyman Gil Cedillo and Council District 1 Chief of Staff José Gardea spoke in Spanish to a small crowd of people, touching upon roughly the same range of issues that the contestants had talked about earlier in English.

The candidates offered their views on a range of local and regional issues, including job creation, Southwest Museum, Transit Village, bike lanes on Figueroa, affordable housing, and the Wal-Mart Chinatown. The runoff election between the two candidates will be held May 21.

This is the first in a series of videos on the candidates’ discussions in Spanish.
