Highland Park Becomes A 1960s Time Capsule For Brad Pitt's Follow-Up To 'Once Upon A Time In Hollywood'
The production has taken over Highland Park with stunning 1960s detail — but Netflix is keeping quiet.

LOS ANGELES, CA — Reportedly directed by David Fincher and written by Quentin Tarantino, the Brad Pitt-led Netflix film "The Adventures of Cliff Booth" remains officially under wraps.
But in Highland Park, there’s no hiding it. Figueroa Street has been meticulously transformed into a slice of 1960s Los Angeles, complete with vintage cars, retro storefronts, and newspaper racks stuffed with era-authentic prop tabloids.
Now where is Pitt?

On Tuesday night, looky-loos lined the stretch of Figueroa near the shuttered Highland Theatre — reborn as a hub of the bustling production — hoping to catch a glimpse of the actor. Some grabbed an outdoor table at the Arroyo Club to sip on a "Brad Spritz," a drink advertised with a photo of Pitt's titular character — and only available during this week of filming.
The buzz of excitement was palpable — and proof that even locals aren't too jaded to enjoy the spectacle of Hollywood magic getting made.

The thoroughfare will be closed for filming between avenues 55 and 57 from July 28 to August 2 from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., Councilmember Ysabel Jurado's office told The Eastsider.
Despite the flurry of activity, there's been little in the way of confirmation of what exactly is going on.
Deadline reported that "The Adventures of Cliff Booth" is the untitled Netflix project that was recently awarded a massive $20 million state tax credit.
There's been no word from Netflix, but Deadline reported that "The Adventures of Cliff Booth" is a follow-up to Tarantino's 2019 "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood."
Pitt won an Oscar for his portrayal of Booth, a World War II veteran and stuntman who struggles to find work as he faces rumors that he killed his wife.
Pitt told Deadline last month that he would reprise the role for "The Adventures of Cliff Booth" in July.
“This is something Quentin Tarantino wrote. It’s an episode, not really a sequel, of the character from ‘Once Upon A Time’. He didn’t want to direct it at this point, so our friend David Fincher stepped in," Pitt said.
