Ken Burns' Pianist to Perform in Highland Park
Renowned musicians Jacqueline Scwab and Wayne Hankin are scheduled to perform at Highland Park's Ebell Club.

Jacqueline Schwab, whose compositions have provided the background music for some of filmmaker Ken Burns' most beloved movies, will perform at the on Thursday.
Schwab will play two pieces of American music from the 19th Century along with her own commentary.
In addition to providing the scores for Burns' acclaimed documentaries Civil War, Baseball, and, The War, Schwab has also produced recordings of her unique style of American folk and classical music.

Performing alongside Scwab as part of Thursday's "Three by Two" event will be multi-instrumentalist Wayne Hankin, who has performed in over 3,000 productions across the globe for top theater companies, including Schaubühne, Long Wharf, Alley, Center Stage, BAM and Odeon Paris. He also performed seven productions for Cirque du Soleil.
In addition to performing a solo set--during which he will use an array of period instruments to provide the live score for 7 Solos, a film about an artist’s search for his place in the world--Hankin will also perform alongside Schwab during the third set of "Three by Two."

The third set brings both artists together with music from medieval to modern featuring the piano with tenor recorder, soprano crumhorn, hammered dulcimer, renaissance flute and soprano rauspfeiffe.
"Three by Two" is schedule to begin at 8 p.m. on Thusday, January 19 at the Ebell Club at 131 S. Avenue 57. Admission is $20.
