L.A. Weekly Names Eastsider Best Neighborhood Blog

L.A. Weekly Thursday announced their Web Awards, recognizing their favorite favorite bloggers and web-journalists across the city.

Among those sites to be recognized was the Eastsider L.A., whose editor Jesus Sanchez was lauded for covering neighborhood life with a sensitivity to local issues gained over a lifetime on the Eastside.

Jesus Sanchez covers the northeast corner of Los Angeles like only someone born in Boyle Heights could. His take on news and events in Echo Park and beyond give one of the city’s most bustling areas a decidedly small-town feel.
