Southbound Traffic on North Figueroa Reopened
Traffic was stalled until from 6 a.m. until noon for filming of CBS' "The Mentalist."
Southbound traffic was again flowing on North Figueroa Street as of 1:20 p.m. on Monday afternoon, after a single lane was reopened for motorists.
Several southbound traffic lanes from Ave. 57 northward were blocked on Monday between 6 a.m. and noon for the filming of a movie called The Metalist, according to retired LAPD officer Joe Gomez. (He assured Highland Park-Mount Washington Patch that the production responsible for halting traffic was not CBS's The Mentalist.)
Edit: A community member near the scene assured Patch that the production filming was indeed, "The Mentalist."

Parking lanes on both sides of street on North Figueroa from Ave. 57 heading northbound will remain closed until midnight, as well as one southbound lane of Ave. 57, said Gomez.
Despite the single lane shutdown, traffic appeared to be flowing smoothly, albeit a bit slower than usual.
