Amoeba Records Hosts Special Vinyl Giveaway For Record Store Day

If you've ever wanted a glow-in-the-dark vinyl, now is your chance.

HOLLYWOOD, CA — The legendary Amoeba Records will celebrate Record Store Day by giving away a prize pack featuring four limited edition, color LPs. The contest will be open until October 8.

Available for the first time on vinyl, a glow-in-the-dark copy of Music From the X-Files: The Truth and the Light will be sent out to lucky winners. The LP includes selections from the first three years of the renowned science fiction series, along with cast dialogue written by Chris Carter.

The prize pack will also include Tegan and Sara's Tonight in the Dark We're Seeing Colors, pressed on a limited edition purple splatter vinyl. A live recording from their "Hey, I'm Just Like You" tour, the LP also features exclusive versions of some of the band's most popular songs.

A special red vinyl pressing of Wale's stellar Wow... That's Crazy will be featured in the pack as well. The album peaked at number seven on the Billboard 200 and features artists such as Rick Ross and Ari Lennox.

Finally, Gotham fans can rejoice with the return of the soundtrack to 1997's Batman & Robin. Pressed on one red and one blue LP, the double-disc release features music from The Smashing Pumpkins, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony and more.

All four vinyls will also be available four purchase on Saturday as part of Record Store Day's second drop of the year. Limited run vinyls from artists like Destiny's Child, The Allman Brothers Band, and The Notorious B.I.G. will also be available.
