Armed Robbery Suspect Eludes Police Near Sunset Strip

LOS ANGELES, CA — Police searched Thursday for an armed robbery suspect in the Fairfax/Hollywood area, but the suspect eluded them.

Officers were called to the area around La Cienega Boulevard and Waring Avenue about 4:30 p.m. and established a perimeter to look for the suspect, according to Officer Tony Im with the Los Angeles Police Department's Media Relations Section.

Metro Division officers were called to the scene to conduct the search, but it was determined the suspect was no longer in the perimeter, Im said.

The suspect was a male in his 30s, Im said.
