HOLLYWOOD, CA — It took 36 firefighters about a half hour to extinguish a small brush fire that broke out in the Hollywood Hills Thursday afternoon, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The fire was reported just before 2 p.m. on Cahuenga Boulevard in an area located just east of the Hollywood Bowl on the other side of the 101 Freeway. Firefighters arrived to find light to medium brush burning on a hillside behind a house, with one structure threatened, the LAFD said.
One wooden fence sustained minor damage in the fire, which burned an estimated eighth to a quarter acre of brush, the LAFD said.
