Earthquake Near North Hollywood Shakes Los Angeles Area

The quake was reported Sunday night. Did you feel it?

NORTH HOLLYWOOD, CA — An earthquake struck over the weekend near North Hollywood.

The 3.9-magnitude quake was reported at 10:13 p.m. Sunday about a mile east-southeast of North Hollywood in the San Fernando Valley of Los Angeles, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The quake had a depth of about 9.5 miles.

Residents reported feeling the quake across the Los Angeles area, including in Beverly Hills, Culver City, Long Beach, Manhattan Beach, Pasadena and Santa Monica, according to the USGS's "Did You Feel It?" map. The quake was felt as far south as Orange County.
