Expect Roadwork on Hollywood Boulevard Saturday and Sunday

Also, a town hall meeting will be held tonight to discuss the Hollywood Community Plan.

Road work: You may have noticed roadwork at Hollywood Boulevard between Fairfax and Ogden during the weekend, reports Dietrich Nelson, Hollywood Hills West Neighborhood Council Area 6 Chair. Nelson notified the neighborhood in a newsletter Saturday about the work.  After speaking to the job foreman he learned that Hollywood Boulevard between Ogden and La Brea will be repaved May 21 - 22. No traffic will be allowed on Hollywood Boulevard in that area so plan for an alternate route next weekend.

Hollywood stabbing: Two men were stabbed around 2 a.m. on Saturday morning in a fight at Wilcox Street and Yucca Avenue. One man was cut on the face and another received a stab wound to the stomach, said Lt. Jorge Pardo of LAPD’s Hollywood Division.  Paramedics took both men to hospitals, he said. No immediate arrests were made.

Deal alert: Southlanders can receive 50 percent off Hollywood attractions that include the Guinness World Records Museum, Ripley’s Believe It or Not, Madame Tussauds and more during the  month of May. Request the "Half Off Hollywood" admission price to receive the discount and present identification for proof of residency. If lower rates apply for children and seniors, you'll get 50 percent off the lowest  price.

Weather: Expect a partly sunny day with a high near 66 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. Tonight, we’ll have clouds with a low around 52 degrees. Winds could gust as high as 15 mph all day. There is a 20 percent chance of rain after 11 p.m. Sunrise: 5:51 a.m. Sunset: 7:48 p.m.

Cheapest gas prices: The cheapest gallon of regular gas is $4.11 at the Arco gas station at 6100 Franklin Ave. and Gower Street, according to LosAngelesGasPrices.com. The second-lowest price is $4.19 at the Mobil gas station at 5857 W Sunset Blvd. and Bronson Avenue.

Don't forget: There's an important town hall meeting regarding the Hollywood Community Plan, a long-term planning guide that sets a vision for public services, housing, land use and more.
