Fire Scorches Hollywood Duplex

Authorities are investigating the cause of a fire that broke out at a vacant Hollywood duplex Tuesday morning.

HOLLYWOOD, CA — A fire damaged a vacant one-story duplex this morning in Hollywood.

The non-injury fire was reported at 2:43 a.m. at 1235 N. Virgil Ave., said Amy Bastman of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

It took 31 firefighters nine minutes to extinguish the flames, she said.
