Forward Progress Halted In Brush Fire Near Hollywood Bowl

Ground and air crews worked Tuesday morning to extinguish the fire near the 101 Freeway and the Hollywood Bowl.

HOLLYWOOD, CA — Ground and air crews worked Tuesday morning to extinguish a brush fire near the 101 Freeway and the Hollywood Bowl, the Los Angeles Fire Department said in a news alert.

According to the alert, the brush fire burned an estimated three acres of vegetation just northeast of the bowl.

In the alert, LAFD spokesperson Brian Humphrey said the area has no wind, and the fire poses no structure threat. No evacuations have been called for at this time.

KTLA reports fire crews have stopped the blaze's forward progress and will remain at the scene to monitor hot spots.

Traffic on the 101 Freeway has not been significantly impacted by the fire, the station reported.
