Garcetti Shuts Off Utilities At Cahuenga Pass Party Mansion
The house hosted several large parties that flaunted coronavirus social distancing mandates.
HOLLYWOOD HILLS, CA — Mayor Eric Garcetti authorized the shutoff of water and power at another coronavirus party mansion in the Cahuenga Pass area. According to the city, the house has hosted several large parties this summer in direct violation of public health orders.
"The owner and residents of this home have failed to follow our public health orders and ignored multiple warnings to stop hosting large parties," Garcetti announced in a statement. "So today, the City disconnected utilities to this house."
According to the mayor's communications office, the house in question threw two large parties on August 24 and August 30. LAPD visited the house during the first and posted several warnings of possible penalties. During a second visit on August 30, officers posted a final notice and referred the house to the mayor's office.

No details on the house were released, and it's unclear if any coronavirus cases could be traced back to either gathering.
Along with the announcement, Mayor Garcetti also issued another plea asking residence to follow social distancing guidelines over Labor Day weekend.

“No matter how young you may be, your choices threaten your health," Garcetti said. "If you're thinking about joining a party this Labor Day Weekend, cancel those plans. If you want to be able to hang out with friends in the near future, or see schools and more businesses reopen, we have to be smart, be safe, and defeat this virus.”
