Guac Daddy, New Taqueria From Tu Madre Owner, Opens In Los Feliz
Described as a Mexico City-inspired taqueria, Guac Daddy features a range of mesquite-grilled meats and vegetarian options.

LOS ANGELES, CA — Guac Daddy, a new taqueria from a team that includes the owner of Tu Madre, is celebrating its grand opening in Los Feliz this weekend.
Guac Daddy's owners describe it as a Mexico City-inspired restaurant that serves a menu of mesquite-grilled meats in tacos, burritos, vampiros and quesadillas.
Meats include classics like carne asada, pollo asado, pollo al pastor, birria and unique offerings like pollo tomatillo and Koreano — char-grilled bulgogi beef.

Located next to the Los Feliz Theatre at 1824 N. Vermont Ave., Guac Daddy takes over the storefront vacated by Tu Madre, which moved a few blocks away on Hillhurst Avenue.
The restaurant is a venture from Joshua Pourgol, the owner and operator of Tu Madre and Bardonna; restaurant operator Jude Eranimus of Tacos El Superior; Chef Jose Salinas, previously of C&O Cucina Restaurant; and Paul Tran, previously one of the largest franchisees of The Halal Guys.
Guac Daddy will celebrate its grad opening this weekend with a free-taco giveaway for the first 100 guests on Saturday and $1 tacos all weekend long. The restaurant will be open from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
