Hit-And-Run Driver At Large After Fatal Hollywood Crash
Police are searching for a driver who fatally struck a pedestrian in Hollywood Thursday night.
HOLLYWOOD, CA — Police are searching for the driver in a hit-and-run crash that left a pedestrian dead Thursday night.
The collision occurred at around 9:55 p.m. when the victim, a 48-year-old man, was walking northbound across Franklin Avenue outside of a marked crosswalk just east of Van Ness Avenue, the Los Angeles Police Department said.
A motorist driving westbound on Franklin Avenue struck the man, who fell onto the road. The driver fled the scene, police said.

Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics transported the man to a local hospital, where he died from his injuries.
Police did not provide a description of the suspect or the suspect's vehicle.

LA has a standing award of up to $50,000 for people who provide information leading to a hit-and-run offender's identification and conviction or resolution through a civil case.
