Hollywood Driving Instructor Molested Student Drivers, LAPD Says

Police are seeking more victims.

Los Angeles police have arrested a Hollywood-based traffic school instructor, alleging he sexually batters students during driving sessions. Investigators believe there could be more victims.

Police arrested Jorge Ernest Ubillus Monday on a sexual battery misdemeanor warrant. The warrant was based on sexual battery cases spanning from July 2014 to Aug. 13. The incidents occurred while he was allegedly teaching his students to drive as well as in his office located in the 5400 block of Santa Monica Boulevard.

LAPD detectives are encouraging additional victims or anyone with any information regarding these crimes to come forward.

Anyone with information about this case is urged to contact the Operations-West Bureau Detective Aldegarie at (213) 473-0439. During non-business hours or on weekends, calls should be directed to 1-877-LAPD-24-7. Anyone wishing to remain anonymous should call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (800-222-8477). Tipsters may also contact Crime Stoppers by texting to phone number 274637 (C-R-I-M-E-S on most keypads) with a cell phone. All text messages should begin with the letters “LAPD.” Tipsters may also go to LAPDOnline.org, click on “webtips” and follow the prompts.
