Hollywood Hills Brush Fire Extinguished Overnight

HOLLYWOOD HILLS, CA — Firefighters extinguished a small brush fire in the Hollywood Hills early Monday morning. The blaze broke out around 11:38 p.m. at 5501 Dell Oak Dr. according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

The blaze burned about a half-acre stretch of land for 45 minutes, and 52 firefighters were called to fight the flames. According to Margaret Stewart of LAFD, helicopter water drops put out most of the fire while ground crews were able to establish a perimeter.

Crews remained on site to perform mop-up duty and prevent additional fires from sparking. No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is unknown.
