LOS ANGELES, CA — An injured hiker was airlifted from a remote Griffith Park trail Sunday morning, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

LAFD air and ground units, along with city park rangers, responded to Hogback Trail at around 10:30 a.m. to assist a woman who injured her ankle. An LAFD helicopter lowered a paramedic to assess and stabilize the woman, who was hoisted into the hovering helicopter and transported to a local hospital, according to the LAFD.
