LA Philharmonic's Hollywood Bowl Performances To Air On KUSC

LOS ANGELES, CA — The Hollywood Bowl announced Monday that 10 Los Angeles Philharmonic concerts from the current season will be broadcast on Classical KUSC's SoCal Sunday Night series, the station's weekly spotlight on local concerts, beginning Sunday at 7 p.m.

This is the 12th year of the orchestra's summer partnership with the station, which gives over 750,000 KUSC listeners across Southern California the ability to hear Hollywood Bowl performances each week.

The concerts are recorded live on select nights and hosted and produced by KUSC's Brian Lauritzen. The programs are scheduled air weekly at 7 p.m. on Sundays from July 22 through Sept. 23, and can be heard throughout much of Southern California on 91.5 Classical KUSC, 88.5 KPSC in Palm Springs, 91.1 KDSC in Thousand Oaks, 99.7 KESC in Morro Bay and San Luis Obispo, and 93.7 KDB in Santa Barbara.

The programs can also be heard online at KUSC.org, and most concerts will be available for online streaming for one week following the broadcast.

The series opens Sunday with a broadcast of conductor Gustavo Dudamel leading the Los Angeles Philharmonic with pianist Behzod Abduraimov in Rachmaninoff's Piano Concerto No. 2. The program also includes Mussorgsky's Pictures at an Exhibition.
