LAFD Called To Remove Prankster Steve-O From Hollywood Billboard
Steve-O wrote on Instagram that it was a publicity stunt to draw attention to his new project.
HOLLYWOOD, CA — Comedian and prankster Steve-O had to be rescued by the Los Angeles Fire Department after taping himself to a Hollywood billboard for a publicity stunt. LAFD arrived on scene and closed multiple lanes for about an hour as they tried to get him down.
Photos showed Steve-O adhered to the billboard and covered up to his chest with multiple layers of duct tape.
This man rented a billboard and taped himself to it to advertise his new comedy special. He’s currently live on YouTube from up on the billboard.

Steve-O wrote on Instagram that the stunt was "professionally rigged" and that he did not want city officials to come.
"I’m attached to a billboard right now (swipe to see the whole thing) and want to emphasize that a team of real professionals rigged everything safely," he wrote There is zero chance of me falling, and it’s important to me that we not waste any valuable city resources on this. LAFD wrote that the man was experiencing an "apparent behavioral emergency" as they removed him from the billboard. According to the statement, Steve-O did not require an ambulance following the stunt.
