On Dec. 5, 2016, the two men lured the victim in the Hollywood attack to an isolated rooftop, knocked her to the ground and raped her, prosecutors said. They were identified through DNA evidence.
Five days earlier, the pair attacked another victim in a non-sexual assault. The jury convicted Mack of felony assault and Barway of misdemeanor assault in that attack, which targeted a witness to a robbery Mack committed on Nov. 26, 2016, according to Deputy District Attorney Paul Thompson.
