HOLLYWOOD, CA — Patients at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles were recently treated to storytime with a very special reader: Meghan, The Duchess of Sussex.
Meghan, a retired actor, leaned on her skills to turn into characters of books including "Rosie the Riveter," "Pete the Cat," and "I Saw a Cat." She also helped kids with STEAM activities tied to each book that let the pediatric patients explore counting, colors, problem solving and more, according to the hospital.
The visit was part of CHLA's month-long Make March Matter annual fundraising campaign, which brings celebrities, businesses and the community together to support the hospital. Since 2016, the campaign has raised more than $10 million for the hospital, according to CHLA.
