Mostly Sunny Skies, Sid Grauman's Birthday and Yamashiro Farmers Market to Return

Weather: Expect mostly sunny skies in Hollywood with a high near 76 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. Tonight, partly cloudy with a low around 54 degrees. Sunrise: 7:05 a.m. Sunset: 7 p.m.

Lowest Gas Prices: According to LosAngelesGasPrices.com, the cheapest regular gas in the area is $3.91 a gallon at the Arco Gas Station on 6200 Franklin Ave. and Gower Street. The next cheapest is $3.93 a gallon at the Shell Gas Station at 5657 Sunset Blvd. near North Wilton Place.

Tickets are available to Sid Grauman's birthday celebration. American Cinamatheque is honoring Grauman's 132nd birthday Saturday at 2 p.m. with a tour of his movie palace, the Egyptian Theatre,  a "Tweet-off" and tales of his life and career. Who knew he participated in the Gold Rush? And of course, there will also be a birthday cake. A screening of Forever Hollywood, a documentary that celebrates a century of moviemaking with celebrity interviews and archival Hollywood history clips, begins at 3 p.m. General admission tickets are $11.

Mark your calendars: Yamashiro recently announced its Thursday evening Farmers Market will return April 7. Soak in the view atop the hill, buy fresh produce and dine on exotic tacos from Yamashiro's Market Grill. Chef Brock Kleweno has  created a taco menu that includes red wine and soy sauce braised short rib, miso-sake glazed black cod and Hoisin duck confit served with blood orange agave salsa.

Deal alert: Hollywood & Highland shared with its Facebook friends a 30 percent-off coupon to Gap good through Sunday. The offer is open to anyone who downloads and prints the coupon. Gap is offering the discount to encourage shoppers to stop in during its fundraiser for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Five percent of each sale will go toward the organization.
