Naked Donald Trump Statue Pops Up in Hollywood

Yep, it's the Donald in all of his, um, glory. Be forewarned, what is seen cannot be unseen.

HOLLYWOOD, CA — In an election year where things have gone from strange to weird, now comes this — naked statues of Donald Trump appeared in several cities across the nation, including in Los Angeles.

The completely nude statue, including all of Trump's, um, attributes was placed on the sidewalk in front of Soap Plant & WACKO, a gift shop/art gallery in Los Feliz. The life-sized statue is among one of many placed in major cities, such as San Francisco, New York, Seattle and Cleveland.

The statue in New York was dismantled by city workers. To protect the Los Angeles version from the same fate, employees at the nearby La Luz De Jesus art gallery moved the statue onto the stoop of their building, according to Toni Martinez, a floor manager for Soap Plant & WACKO.

Martinez said the gallery had no part in placing the statue at the corner.

"It showed up just like every other one," she said. "This morning, before we had opened, it was on the corner."

She said gallery workers were going to leave it where it was, "but we heard in other cities they were removing it," so gallery employees decided to move it onto private property to allow the public to continue viewing it.

Paul Gomez, a spokesman for the Public Works Department, said a city official was sent to the corner because the statue was potentially limiting access on the sidewalk, but now that it has been moved to the gallery property, the city is no longer considering removing it.

The statues are the work of the anarchist artist collective INDECLINE, according to the Washington Post. The project is called "The Emperor Has No Balls," a play on the short story "The Emperor Has No Clothes."

There's a video on the group's website and YouTube channel that shows how the statues were made.

“I don’t expect these things to last more than 30 or 45 minutes,” an anonymous spokesman for INDECLINE told the Post. “But I would love to watch some irate 65-year-old Trump supporter try to take the thing down with his bare hands.”

If you want to see the statue in the Southland, it is located at 4633 Hollywood Blvd.,

The statue was made by a Las Vegas-based artist who goes by the moniker "Ginger." He spent up to 25 hours a week since April working on the statutes, according to The Post.

“Starting on the project and looking at his face day in and day out when I’d come home, I began to build up some resentment,” Ginger said. “The straw that broke the camel’s back was when he made fun of the disabled reporter from the New York Times.”

The naked statue of the GOP nominee was supposed to be unflattering and presented in the most humiliating way, according to The Post.

Based on the proportions of some of the statue's "features," it seems the group hit its mark.
