Plummer Park Cooling Center Closed Due To Power Outage

A power outage in the West Hollywood area has knocked about 395 customers off the grid, according to SoCalEdison.

WEST HOLLYWOOD, CA — A power outage in West Hollywood will force the closure of the Plummer Park Cooling Center today. The City expects to reopen the facility tomorrow once power is restored.

According to the SoCalEdison website, the outage has affected about 395 customers and will not be fully repaired until 9 p.m.

"This morning, Southern California Edison (SCE) announced a power outage, which is impacting Plummer Park and some nearby residents and businesses through the day," the City of West Hollywood announced in a press release. "SCE crews are working on repairs."

The center is typically open from 11 a.m. through 6 p.m. on days where the temperature is above 90 degrees. Residents can go here to find a list of other cooling centers open today.
