Woman Fatally Shot In Hollywood After Argument Is Identified
A woman who was fatally shot by a man after an argument last week in Hollywood was identified by authorities on Tuesday.
HOLLYWOOD, CA — A woman who was fatally shot by a man after an argument last week was identified by authorities on Tuesday.
The shooting occurred at around 4 p.m. Friday on the 6000 block of Barton Avenue. The suspect, a man in his 60s, approached a woman and the two began to argue. The argument escalated into a fight and the man fired a shot at the woman, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
The victim was identified by the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner as Svetlana Asnaimer, 59, of Los Angeles.

She was pronounced dead at the scene.
The suspect has not been identified publicly by police. He fled the location in a vehicle heading eastbound on Barton Avenue, police said.

Police have not released information about any possible motive for the shooting, though authorities said they believe it was an isolated incident.
"I would like to tell the community that we’re working hard to make sure there is no further threat to them, we do believe this is an isolated incident and we don’t think there’s any further threat to the community," LAPD Captain Robert Peters told NBC 4.
