Wrong Way Motorist Identified In Fatal Hollywood Crash

The driver died at the scene of the crash.

HOLLYWOOD, CA — A man who was killed in a car crash Thursday morning after driving the wrong way on the 101 Freeway has been identified. Jordan Del Carmen of Paramount, who was driving a 2008 BMW at the time, died on the scene according to California Highway Patrol.

The crash was reported at 1 a.m. Thursday morning. According to CHP, Carmen was driving south in the northbound lanes when he rammed into a 2014 Subaru just north of the Hollywood Boulevard exit.

Clayton Chiapuzio, who was driving the Subaru, was taken to the hospital with major injuries. Two other vehicles were involved in a "chain reaction" crash, but neither driver was injured.
