2 Injured After Car Plummets Off Angeles Crest Highway

The Montrose Search and Rescue team assists in the operation.

Two people were injured Sunday morning and taken to a local hospital after their vehicle plummeted about 400 feet over the side of the Angeles Crest Highway, according to the La Cañada Sun

The Montrose Search and Rescue members and Los Angeles County firefighters participated in the rescue and lifted the pair out of the hillside on special stretchers, according to the report. The incident occurred near mile marker 39.61 on the highway, about 14 miles from La Cañada Flintridge, according to the report.
