At $4.26 in some places, it's worth knowing where you can save some pennies.
Sure, you can take the bus to go up and down Foothill Boulevard. But practically speaking, you're going to have to fill up the gas tank so you can drive to all the places your day takes you. Here are the cheapest gas prices around town:
, 550 Foothill Blvd. is the cheapest spot in town at $4.17 per gallon, according to gasbuddy.com, which offers the latest, lowest prices in Los Angeles according to the zip code you plug in.
A few blocks away at 623 Foothill Blvd., offers gas for $4.23 a gallon, the website reports.

According to AAA's Daily Fuel Gauge Report, $4.22 is the current average for regular unleaded octane in California. Prices have risen steadily since September, but are still a way's away from the state's highest recorded price of $4.61 in June 2008.
As of this morning, the national average for regular unleaded gas is $3.87 per gallon, the AAA website states.
