Crime Blotter: Purse Snatched from Sprouts
The following incidents were reported to the Crescenta Valley Sheriff's Station. Arrests do not indicate convictions.

Purse Snatched from Sprouts’ Locker Room
A 21-year-old employee at Sprouts, 920 Foothill Blvd., told police she put her purse in an unlocked locker at the store on Aug. 7. When she returned, she found someone had stolen her wallet, containing her driver’s license, $10 cash and an annual pass to Six Flags Magic Mountain, and her cell phone.

A customer in the AT&T store, 895 Foothill Blvd., told police on Aug. 1 that
she saw a man pull two phones from the display, and walk out the door. Swiped were a black Samsung Galaxy, worth $599.99 and a white Samsung Galaxy Note, also worth $599.99.

Forged Checks
A 41-year-old woman who lives in the 400 block of Knight Way told police last week that between March and April checks she put in her outgoing mail had been stolen and forged. She did not recognize the signature or account numbers. The vendors to whom she sent the checks did not receive payment.
Identity Theft
A 41-year-old La Cañada woman told police on Aug. 4 that an unidentified person used her Social Security card and name to open credit card accounts at Gap, Banana Republic, Victoria’s Secret and Express.
