The County Board of Supervisors will vote on Tuesday on a $720,000 grant for an oak woodland restoration project at La Canada Flintridge's Descanso Gardens.
The grant would pay the vast majority of the cost of a project to develop three acres of existing parkland into a habitat with native Southern California oak trees.
The money would go towards landscaping, planting, building seating areas and setting a path through the area, according to the county's staff report.
More on the project can be found in this Pasadena Star-News article from October of 2012.
