The La Cañada High School Art Show is this Thursday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
LCHS kicks off its Fine Arts Month with this show, which opens with a reception in the lobby of the school auditorium, 4463 Oak Grove Drive. Admission is $5. The show will be also open to the public for 30 minutes prior to each performing-arts event throughout March. In addition, visitors can make an appointment to see the show by contacting teacher Mike Kauffman at mkauffman@lcusd.net.
Ceramics teacher Joseph Lee said about the event, "Fine Arts Month represents the value that our community (our teachers, our students and parents) has placed on the arts and a time to reflect upon the creative development and growth that takes place in our schools."
Art teacher Sarafina Kenwood encourages ". . . all teachers to arrange time to bring their students to the show one day during fine arts month so they can see some of the talents theirs students/peers have. It can be enlightening for teachers/peers to see a student who may be struggling in their class flourishing somewhere else."
Please show your support for the fine arts program by attending this wonderful event and encourage your child to ask their teachers to bring their
classes for a visit during school.
