Fifth Grader Wins Third in State Gymnastics Championship

• Whiz Kid's Name: Matthew Randolph

• Whiz Kid's Age: 10

• Whiz Kid's School: Paradise Canyon Elementary

• Whiz Kid's Accomplishment: Matthew competed in the Southern California State Men's Gymnastics Championship on March 21st, 2011. He finished third all around and second in floor, second in pommel and second in parallel bar. He is especially proud of his parallel bar giant. At the end of the meet, he was named to the Southern California All-Star Team, and will represent the state at the regional competition on Friday in Oakland. This will be Matthew's third consecutive year representing Southern California on the All-Star team.
