Photo Gallery: Cherry Blossoms in Bloom

Hello Spring.

Ok, technically we have another week, but with these temperatures and the flowering cherry blossoms, spring is in full bloom at Descanso Gardens -  heradling the start of the season. 

The first-ever Cherry Blossom Festival will be held Saturday and Sunday, March 19 and 20. Here’s a glimpse of the flowering cherries in the Japanese Garden, as well as the magnificent ‘Beni Hoshi’ cherry on the Main Lawn, as photographed by Descanso members Alice and Mike Zrodlo.

The festival will include traditional tea ceremonies on Saturday, a cooking demonstration Sunday, cherry blossom walks, cherry tree sales, and bento box lunches and cherry cocktails at the Camellia Lounge. Fore mroe details check out  www.descansogardens.org.
