Spartan Senior Excels at Myriad Sports

* Whiz Kid's Name:  Luke Sanborn Age:  18

* Whiz Kid's School: La Cañada High School

* Whiz Kid's Accomplishment:  Myriad: Sanborn recently qualified for the prestigious CIF Southern Section Masters Meet, placing in the top five of his weight class. He has earned the 201o Patrick Tenney Memorial Award and Scholarship, given to one senior football player each season to reward him for his attitude, leadership and strength on and off the field. He's a two-time member of the second team for the All Rio Hondo League, plus, he runs track and field and plays hockey. Sanborn also uses what he's learned on the mat to coach younger wrestlers.

* Whiz Kid's Key to Awesomeness: I like participating in sports for so many reasons. They are fun, they teach you lessons about life, you can make lots of friends... the list goes on and on. The most important thing I've learned is that when your passionate about something, you have to give it dedication. This means always trying your best and making sacrifices. You have to work hard to get to where you want to go.
