Strict Smoking Restrictions to Take Effect in LCF in September
The new law prohibits the activity at shopping centers, outdoor patios at restaurants and on nature trails.
The La Canada City Council approved an ordinance on Aug. 5 that starting in September will restrict smoking in a number of ways, according to the La Cañada Sun.
The La Cañada Flintridge Youth Council originally recommended the ordinance. The proposed ordinance includes banning smoking at the following locations:
- Common areas of shopping centers (with an allowance for designated smoking areas
Outdoor dining areas
- Public events
- City-owned and city-controlled properties, including city parks and trails
