Suspected Meth Lab Closes Beulah Drive
Crescenta Valley Sheriff's deputies inspected a house for a possible meth lab Tuesday, but found no illegal substances, authorities said.

If you wondered what all the commotion on Beulah Drive was Tuesday, authorities were investigating a possible meth lab -- but found nothing hazardous or illegal, Lt. Angela Shepherd said Wednesday.
Deputies closed the street between Foothill Boulevard and Descanso Drive to inspect a house, said Shepherd, of the The closure lasted roughly two hours, she said.
"They had a few things in place that looked like someone tried to make a meth lab, but there was nothing illegal,'' she said. Deputies had acted on information that someone may have been cooking the illegal drug inside the residence.

Methamphetamine is created from drugs that can be bought over the counter at local stores, mixed with other common ingredients. Small labs to cook the drug can be set up on tables in kitchens, countertops, garages or just about anywhere, according to the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency.
The cooking process emits noxious fumes, often causing explosions and house fires.
