1 Killed, Deputy Wounded in Laguna Niguel Stabbing Attack
Police say an attack near Marina Hills Drive and Golden Lantern left three injured and one dead.

A suspect was killed in a deputy-involved shooting in Laguna Niguel tonight and three other people, including a sheriff's deputy, were injured in a related stabbing attack, authorities said.
The shooting occurred just before 7:30 p.m. in the 200 block of Chandon as deputies responded to a report of a stabbing, according to Lt. Jeff Hallock of the Orange County Sheriff's Department.
The suspect was pronounced dead at the scene, Hallock said.
The deputy suffered stab wounds to both arms, he said.
He and the other wounded victims were taken to a hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, Hallock said.
