Changes Underway For Fourth Of July Fireworks Show In Laguna Niguel

The annual Fourth of July Fireworks Show in Laguna Niguel will be replaced with drones, city officials announced this week.

LAGUNA NIGUEL, CA — Big changes are underway for the annual Fourth of July Fireworks Show in Laguna Niguel.

This year, the popular celebration will swap out its traditional fireworks for a drone show.

The decision comes after the recent Cal Fire amps designated Laguna Niguel Regional Park as being in the "very high severity" zone, The Orange County Register reported.

The celebration — now planned at Crown Valley Park — will feature 400 synchronized drones that hover and dance in the sky, choreographed to patriotic music, according to the city.
