Kimchi Meets IKEA: Swedish Taekwondo Team Heading to Laguna Niguel

The team will be training for the U.S. Open Taekwondo Championships in Las Vegas.

Apparently those peace-loving Swedes are more butt-kicking than anyone ever suspected ...

So much so that they actually have a national taekwondo team. And that team is coming to Laguna Niguel this weekend to train at Jimmy Kim's Taekwondo Center Saturday and Sunday, from 8-10 a.m.

The 25-person-strong Swedish squad and its coach, Niklas Andersson, are specifically coming to train for competing in the U.S. Open Taekwondo Championships, set to go off in Las Vegas next week. It's one of the international Taekwondo tournaments where most elite-level athletes, world champs and Olympians compete.
