Attempted Kidnapping Reported at UC San Diego

The intended victim was able to break free after a bag was put over her head, according to police.

police are investigating an attempted kidnapping that was reported Friday at 8 p.m. on the campus, just west of the Geisel Library, according to a notice released to students and staff.

The female that reported the incident said she was able to break free after an unknown man approached her from behind, put a paper bag over her head and tried to drag her off the pathway, according to the release.

The suspect was described as light skinned with wavy brown hair, approximately 5 feet 9 inches tall with a medium build and wearing blue jeans.
