Pacific Catch Restaurant To Open 1st SoCal Locale In La Jolla
The popular NorCal chain, known for such sustainable seafood specialties as ceviche tacos & Ahi Poke Bombs, is coming to Westfield UTC Mall.
LA JOLLA, CA — Pacific Catch, a "West Coast fish house" with an eclectic, Pacific Rim flare and a focus on sustainable seafood, is poised to open its first Southern California restaurant next week at La Jolla’s Westfield UTC Mall.
Based in the San Francisco Bay Area, Pacific Catch is a longtime partner with such ocean resources as the Monterey Bay Aquarium, James Beard's Smart Catch and Surfrider Foundation.
“The Bay Area has been home to us for the past 18 years and now, we are thrilled to be making our official Southern California debut in San Diego and introducing the community to our interpretation of a West Coast fish house,” said Keith Cox, Pacific Catch CEO and founder.

A NorCal fave, the eateries serve up such tasty, catchy dishes as "Mexican Grill Seared Guajillo Shrimp Bowl," "Vegan Westcoast Style with Grilled Tofu," "Ceviche Tacos," "Spicy Yellowtail Ceviche," "Ahi Poke Bombs" and "Hawaiian Kanpachi," along with cocktails, including the "Guava-rita," "Tiki Old Fashioned" and "Lemongrass Mojito."
The new eatery is set to open Monday, Oct. 18 at Westfield UTC shopping center in La Jolla/San Diego. The restaurant's 4,500-square-foot interior, plus outdoor patios, cocktail bar and fire pits, were designed, with coastal inspiration, by Hatch Design Group.

“While San Diego’s consistently great weather was an obvious draw when deciding where to open our first restaurant in Southern California, we believe our company values, such as our sincere focus on sustainability and emphasis on using fresh and high-quality ingredients, will resonate with our new community,” Cox added.
Additionally, the company employs a director of sustainability, industry expert Jennifer Bushman, who focuses on Pacific Catch's commitment to the ocean environment, sustainable fish and seafood sourcing.
On the Pacific Catch menu are shellfish cocktails, bowls, burgers, tacos and salads. All Pacific Catch locations also offer 100% compostable take-out packaging.
And the chain is eying expansion plans throughout Southern California, according to the business.
"For nearly two decades, Northern California diners have turned to the fish house for its constantly evolving menu of high-quality seafood and now," the company said, adding, "San Diegans can experience its 'wave to table' offerings, Pacific-inspired menu and craft beverage program for the first time."
