Pedestrian Killed Crossing LJ Village Drive
Robert Guy Heard, 50, of Bellevue Wash., was hit by a pickup Tuesday night.
San Diego police are investigating a traffic accident in University City on Tuesday in which a 50-year-old man was fatally struck by a pickup truck while attempting to cross a street.
The fatality in the 3400 block of La Jolla Village Drive, near Executive Way, was reported just before 8 p.m. Tuesday, according to SDPD Officer Dino Delimitros.
The pedestrian was attempting to cross La Jolla Village Drive, just east of Executive Way when he was struck by a Toyota Tacoma driven by a 48-year-old man, Delimitros said.

Robert Guy Heard of Bellevue, Wash., died in an ambulance en route to the hospital, according to the San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office.
