San Diego County Restaurants Open On Christmas Day

SAN DIEGO COUNTY, CA -- Not interested in cooking on Christmas Day? Thankfully, you'll have your pick of restaurants to choose from.

Here's a list of restaurants that are open on Christmas Day.

Marine Room

From 12 p.m. to 7 p.m., you can expect a top-notch meal at the Marine Room in La Jolla. Find dishes such as ahi tuna, orange-peel scallops and filet mignon. Complete your Christmas entree with walnut cheesecake or cobblestone pie (or both of course!)

Shores Restaurant

Looking for another beachside eatery? Try the Shores Restaurant. At The Shores, you can expect a buffet Santa would be proud of. From 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., the restaurant will serve classic brunch dishes like french toast and eggs benedict. In the evening, expect turkey, ribeye roast and a pasta station. Top it off with your choice of desserts including gingerbread cheesecake, peppermint chocolate brownies and pecan pie.

Monkey King

If you want to skip the traditional Christmas fixings, try Monkey King in downtown San Diego. Chef Brenden Mica brings a modern Chinese menu to the city with dishes such as drunken lobster, peking duck and chow fun. The restaurant will be open from 5 p.m. to 12 a.m. on Christmas Day.

Giardino

Is Italian food more your style? Giardino, the latest edition to Lemon Grove, will offer lobster ravioli, veal parmigiana and pear salad on Christmas Day. Reservations are encouraged for this East County eatery. Call (619) 825-7112 to book.

Cusp

Here's another La Jolla favorite for you. Located at Hotel La Jolla, Cusp will be open from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Christmas Day. Expect dishes such as lobster bisque, lamb rack and roasted duck. Top it off with an apple tart and vanilla bean ice cream to really celebrate the holidays.

Pacifica Del Mar

Just up the shore is Pacifica Del Mar, where Chef David Burke is serving up a special Christmas meal. Guests can expect free range turkey, brisket or rack of lamb. Of course, a holiday meal isn't complete without pumpkin pie and you can find the perfect slice at this beach town restaurant. The restaurant will be open from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Christmas Day.

Eastbound Bar & Grill

For the Lakeside residents, Eastbound Bar & Grill will be open from 6 p.m. The American-style restaurant will also host its 8th annual Beer Pong Tournament on Christmas Day. The event kicks off at 7 p.m.

Harbor Town Pub

This San Diego favorite plans to open its doors on Christmas Day. Harbor Town Pub will be open from 6 p.m. to close. It's kitchen will be closed but customers can still enjoy the restaurant's pizza and fresh-baked cookies.

The Waterfront

The Waterfront Bar and Grill will be opened from 6 a.m. to close on Christmas. The kitchen will be offering its full menu. If you're looking for breakfast options, stop by this Little Italy eater for its Mexican food brunch.

Florent Restaurant & Lounge

Here's another option for downtown families. Florent Restaurant & Lounge will be open from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. The restaurant will offer all of its favorites, including burgers, sea bass, grilled chicken and tacos, and a special Christmas menu.

Broken Yolk

The breakfast chain's locations in Oceanside, Mira Mesa and Carmel Mountain will be open on Christmas Day. Expect the same, delicious meals you're used to at the popular eatery. Plus, if you buy $25 in gift cards you can get free pancakes.
