San Diego County Sheriff's Department: Vehicle Vs. Pedestrian Collision-San Marcos
Impairment by alcohol or drugs is not suspected as a factor in the collision. The San Marcos Traffic Unit is handling the investigation.

On Monday, February 28, 2022 at approximately 11:41 a.m., deputies from the San Marcos Sheriff's Station responded to the area of Firebird Lane and West Mission Road for multiple reports of a vehicle versus pedestrian collision. Deputies arrived and found a 64-year-old female who had been struck by a Cadillac SUV. The female was transported to a local hospital, where it was determined she suffered a broken ankle. The driver of the Cadillac SUV remained on scene and cooperated with the investigation.
