18-Year-Old Killed After Crashing Into Tree In Jurupa Valley

JURUPA VALLEY, CA — A motorist was killed after crashing into a tree in Jurupa Valley, the Riverside County Sheriff's Department announced Sunday.

The crash was reported Saturday at 3:07 p.m. Saturday on Mission Boulevard, west of Wineville Avenue where responding deputies found the vehicle crashed into a tree.

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. He was identified as 18- year-old Anthony Zuniga. His city of residence was not provided.

The cause of the crash was not immediately known, and it was unknown if drug and/or alcohol played a role.

Mission Boulevard between Wineville Avenue and Cornerstone Drive was closed for investigation.
