Another Walmart Supercenter Opens This Month In RivCo. AI Is Driving The Business.
According to the company, Walmart isn't about replacing human connection with machines. Instead, AI is removing "friction" for customers.

EASTVALE, CA — More than a year ago, officials broke ground on a Walmart Supercenter in Eastvale. The 170,995-square-foot store at 14100 Limonite Avenue is scheduled to open sometime this month, adding to the more than a dozen Walmart locations across Riverside County.
The new Eastvale Supercenter will feature a 16-pump fuel station, online grocery pickup and delivery services, a full-service deli, meat and bakery departments, a pharmacy, vision center, and a produce department, and more.
By the time the store opens, it is expected to have created around 300 new jobs for Eastvale and the surrounding areas, according to the city of Eastvale.

Despite recently closing a Walmart Neighborhood Market store in Hemet (859 W. Florida Ave.), the retail giant appears very strong and is heavily investing in technology to keep it competitive in the years to come.
During the company's third quarter of fiscal year 2026, which ended Oct. 31, Walmart reported $179.5 billion in revenue.

E-commerce is a big part of that revenue story, and it's shaping the shopping experience for local residents and those around the nation and world.
Globally, Walmart's e-commerce business grew 27% during Q3 compared to the same period last year. In the United States, e-commerce sales surged 28%. The figures represent the seventh consecutive quarter of e-commerce growth above 20%, according to the company.
E-commerce includes store-fulfilled deliveries, which surged nearly 70% during Q3, and nearly 35% of those digital orders were delivered in less than three hours, the company reported.
Walmart shoppers are becoming accustomed to faster turnaround times, and the company continues to expand pickup and delivery capabilities through automation.
More than 60% of Walmart stores now receive freight from automated distribution centers, and more than half of e-commerce fulfillment center volume runs through automated processes, the company reported.
Actually, Walmart leverages AI across every part of its business.
For example, to help shoppers find items faster, Walmart announced in October that it had formed a new partnership with OpenAI to allow customers to shop with ChatGPT using Instant Checkout.
"For many years now, e-commerce shopping experiences have consisted of a search bar and a long list of item responses. That is about to change," Walmart President and CEO Doug McMillon said at the time. "There is a native AI experience coming that is multi-media, personalized and contextual."
According to the company, however, the future of Walmart isn’t about replacing human connection with machines, "it’s about using AI to remove friction and make everyday moments easier, smarter and more delightful."
Walmart shoppers will get a chance to test that "delight" this month in the new Eastvale Supercenter.
