Arrest Made After Golf Cart, Travel Trailer Stolen In Wildomar: RSO
The alleged theft took place in the 34700 block of Oneal Road.
WILDOMAR, CA — A convicted felon suspected of stealing a travel trailer and golf cart from a property in Wildomar has been found and charged with a slew of crimes.
Shawn Ethan Bannister, 51, of Riverside was arrested July 24 in the unincorporated area of Woodcrest and subsequently booked on suspicion of more than a dozen felonies, including being a felon in possession of a firearm, possession of a stolen vehicle, forging/altering a vehicle registration, perjury and other crimes.
Bannister was due in court Monday.

According to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department, on April 25, deputies were called to the 34700 block of Oneal Road in Wildomar regarding the theft of a travel trailer and golf cart.
Despite a search, deputies did not find a suspect or the stolen goods.

Eventually, however, the investigation narrowed in on Bannister, though the sheriff's department did not disclose what led them to the Riverside man.
A search warrant was served in the 16700 block of Wood Song Court in Riverside.
During the search, "deputies located the travel trailer, golf cart, and two additional stolen vehicles," according to the sheriff's department. The deputies also found narcotics, a 22-caliber pistol, and several hundred rounds of ammunition, the agency said.
Bannister is being held at Southwest Detention Center in lieu of a $25,000 bail bond, jail records show.
