Brush Fire Burns 10 Acres Near Perris
The blaze was being fought on the ground and by air.

PERRIS, CA — A brush fire that erupted Tuesday near Perris burned roughly 10 acres on a rocky hillside.
The non-injury blaze was reported at 3:35 p.m. in the area of Lukens Lane and West Metz Road, according to Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department.
According to the agency, multiple engine and hand crews were sent to the location and encountered flames moving at a moderate rate to the south in rugged terrain.

Three Cal Fire air tankers and a water-dropping helicopter initiated runs on the brusher just before 4 p.m., slowing its expansion and enabling ground crews to begin establishing tentative containment lines.
No evacuation orders or warnings were imminent as of 5 p.m.
